Jet Groceries is Jordan’s first local quick-commerce (Q-commerce) app, and it works differently from most grocery delivery apps: Jet owns every product it sells. More than 4,000 products sit in Jet’s own warehouse in Amman, tracked in real time. Every order is packed there by Jet’s own team, so nothing depends on a third-party supermarket’s stock or staff.
What does Jet Groceries stock?
The range covers a full weekly shop:
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Dairy, milk, eggs, fresh bread, and fresh chicken
- Drinks and snacks
- Baby essentials
- Cleaning supplies and household items
- Personal care products
Everything is sold at retail prices with no hidden fees.
Why does owning the inventory matter?
Most delivery apps are marketplaces. They pass your order to a supermarket, which has to pick it alongside its in-store customers. That model has two weak points: waiting time, and stock the app can’t see. An item can be out of stock after you’ve paid, and you get a substitution or a missing item.
Jet removes both. Because Jet is the store, there’s no handoff to wait for, and there’s no gap between what the app shows and what’s on the shelf.
What does “real-time inventory” mean for customers?
Jet tracks its inventory in real time. If a product appears in the app, it’s physically in the warehouse and ready to go. That’s what Jet means by “no missing items”: what you see is what you get.
